2017 Annual Sanitary Sewer CIPP Project

The Village of Bensenville is undertaking a sanitary sewer CIPP project in the vicinity of your home in the Spring/Summer 2017. This is commonly known as sewer lining. The project consists of sewer lining of approximately 6,500 linear feet of sanitary sewer. The areas being improved by this project are highlighted in red color in the map below. An innovative process called "Sewer lining" will be utilized to reconstruct certain sections of badly deteriorated sewer. This reconstruction will be done without time consuming, expensive and disruptive excavation. Instead of digging up and replacing the old pipeline, the Sewer lining process provides for the insertion of a special lining inside the pipe, creating a new smooth-surfaced, long-lasting pipe within the old sewer.

Update- 06/12/2017
The contractor is scheduled to begin the sewer lining installation mid- week this week. Please watch your front doors for the notices and limit your sewer usage during the day of the lining.
