Project Updates
12.01.2023
This week, RW Dunteman switched traffic at many of the driveway entrances on the second stage of pavement, allowing the remaining missing gaps of curbs, aprons and pavement to be completed. Additionally, the Contactor completed asphalt patching of the new watermain trench at the intersection of Industrial Drive and Birginal Drive. It is anticipated that Bryn Mawr Avenue and Birginal Drive will return to two-way traffic by the middle of next week, when the freshly poured concrete has obtained the necessary cure time. Once the pavement is open to two-way traffic, work will continue over the winter as temperatures allow. Remaining items to be completed on the project include landscape restoration, installation of new light poles, removal of the old street lighting, pavement markings, signage replacement, and general clean up. Items like landscaping and pavement marking will not be finalized until Spring of 2024.

RW Dunteman completed the remaining pavement gaps on the first half of the new roadway pavement. All curbs, aprons, and roadway pavement is now installed on the first half of the roadway allow for a traffic switch to the new pavement on Monday November 13. After the traffic switch on Monday next week, the contractor will begin removals on the second side of the roadway pavement. By the end of next week, it is anticipated that the new curb will begin to be poured on the second side of the roadway. The one-way detour will continue to remain in place, with traffic on the new half of the roadway. This project is targeting the end of the month to have the roadway opened back up to two-way traffic, weather permitting. Light pole installation is also expected in the next few weeks. Landscape restoration will be finalized in the Spring when the weather is conducive to growing grass.
