Village of Bensenville, Public Works Department in partnership with SCARCE is offering its residents a free program to recycle used cooking oil. Recycling cooking oil means less of it being disposed in the drain, which can cause clogs in the sewage lines. Repairing these clogs is costly to the Village and to the residents.
Please visit https://www.scarce.org/cooking-oil/ for more information about the program. The bin for recycling is located at the Public Works Facility, 717 E Jefferson Street (right next to Salt Dome & free mulch bin). This area is under video surveillance. Place your container in the bin.
Please no motor oil, bacon/meat grease.
