The Village of Bensenville, Illinois is accepting applications for Police Officer candidates.
Applicants must be 21 to 35 years of age at time of appointment (unless affected by state statute) and must possess a Bachelor’s Degree unless they possess at least one of the three below exceptions to the Education Requirement:
- A minimum of 2 years of service as a full time state certified police officer or as a federal law enforcement officer with arrest powers and a minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of college credit.
- A minimum of 3 years of military service with an honorable discharge and a minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of college credit.
- A minimum of 3 years of military service with an honorable discharge within two years of the date of the application and possess a primary specialty of security, law enforcement, or military police as listed on the DD Form 214.
