The Village of Bensenville is working collaboratively with School District 2 to re-grade and finish the former site of Mohawk School. An engineering firm has surveyed the site and is designing the proper grading plan. Grass will then be planted and the site re-opened to the community. The District seeks to award the grading and seeding project this summer and have the grass planted no later than this fall.

A new playground will also be installed as soon as possible. The Village, District 2 and Park District will be working with the neighborhood on ideal park and recreation design and programming options. Plans for the grading and the playground will be discussed at this week’s meeting of the District 2 Board of Education.
